What is IBPS PO?

IBPS PO stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officer. The IBPS PO/MT examination is conducted through the Common Recruitment Process (CRP PO/MT) for recruitment to the posts of Probationary Officer and Management Trainee in participating public sector banks.

The examination is conducted in multiple stages, including the Online Preliminary Examination and Online Main Examination, followed by the further selection stages prescribed by IBPS.

Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria	Details
Nationality / Citizenship	The candidate must satisfy the nationality/citizenship conditions prescribed in the official IBPS PO/MT notification.
Age Limit	The candidate must be between 20 and 30 years of age as on 01 July 2026. The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02 July 1996 and not later than 01 July 2006, both dates inclusive.
Educational Qualification	The candidate must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
Final Year Candidates	Candidates must fulfil the prescribed educational qualification requirements within the date specified in the official notification. The degree result must be declared as required by the prescribed cut-off date.
Computer Literacy	Working knowledge of computers is required as prescribed under the IBPS PO/MT recruitment process.
Age Relaxation	Upper age relaxation is available to eligible categories such as SC/ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Ex-Servicemen and other specified categories as per applicable Government rules.
Category Requirements	Candidates claiming reservation or age relaxation must possess valid and prescribed certificates/documents according to the applicable Government and IBPS rules.
Other Requirements	The candidate must satisfy all other eligibility conditions, including document and verification requirements, prescribed in the latest IBPS CRP PO/MT notification.

Final Selection

Final selection और provisional allotment, applicable Main Examination और Interview weightage, merit, vacancies, candidate preferences तथा IBPS द्वारा निर्धारित अन्य rules के अनुसार किया जाता है।

महत्वपूर्ण सूचना: Personality Test, Preliminary या Main Examination की तरह एक अलग written examination नहीं है। उम्मीदवारों को अपने recruitment cycle के लिए लागू exact process, qualifying requirements और weightage के लिए नवीनतम IBPS PO/MT notification को अवश्य देखना चाहिए।

IBPS PO अंक एवं Weightage

प्रारंभिक परीक्षा	100	उम्मीदवारों को Main Examination के लिए shortlist करने के लिए आयोजित की जाती है। Preliminary Examination के अंक final merit में शामिल नहीं किए जाते हैं।
Main Examination — Objective Tests	200	आगे की selection process के लिए merit में योगदान करते हैं।
Main Examination — Descriptive Paper	25	IBPS द्वारा निर्धारित नियमों के अनुसार evaluate किया जाता है तथा लागू qualifying requirements को पूरा करना आवश्यक होता है।
Interview	100	निर्धारित weightage के अनुसार Main Examination के साथ Interview performance को final merit में शामिल किया जाता है।
Final Merit	निर्धारित Weightage के अनुसार	निर्धारित qualifying conditions को पूरा करने के बाद applicable Main Examination और Interview scores के आधार पर final merit तैयार की जाती है।

महत्वपूर्ण सूचना: Preliminary Examination केवल shortlisting के लिए आयोजित की जाती है और इसके अंक final merit में शामिल नहीं होते हैं। Final selection के लिए IBPS द्वारा निर्धारित Main Examination और Interview की weightage लागू होती है। उम्मीदवारों को Descriptive Paper तथा अन्य stages की qualifying requirements को भी पूरा करना आवश्यक है।

चयन प्रक्रिया

1. प्रारंभिक परीक्षा

उम्मीदवार सबसे पहले Online Preliminary Examination में शामिल होते हैं, जिसमें English Language, Quantitative Aptitude और Reasoning Ability शामिल होते हैं। जो उम्मीदवार परीक्षा में qualify करते हैं और लागू shortlisting criteria को पूरा करते हैं, उन्हें Main Examination के लिए बुलाया जाता है।

जन्म तिथि का प्रमाण	जन्म प्रमाण पत्र या SSLC/10वीं कक्षा का प्रमाण पत्र, जिसमें उम्मीदवार की जन्म तिथि दर्ज हो।
फोटो पहचान प्रमाण	IBPS द्वारा निर्धारित वैध फोटो पहचान पत्र, जैसे आधार कार्ड, PAN कार्ड, पासपोर्ट, ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस, मतदाता पहचान पत्र या अन्य स्वीकार्य पहचान पत्र।
स्नातक प्रमाण पत्र / अंकतालिकाएँ	आवश्यक शैक्षणिक योग्यता को प्रमाणित करने के लिए अधिसूचना में निर्धारित स्नातक डिग्री प्रमाण पत्र और/या अंकतालिकाएँ।
